He was responsible for the more than 30 billion lodging portfolio within the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy estate from 2009-2012.
Chuck founded and led the hospitality and leisure group at Alvarez & Marsal for 15 years, served as a practice leader in the hospitality and leisure group of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and for seven years was a practice leader for Latin America and hospitality in Ernst & Young’s Real Estate Advisory Services Group.
Bedsole's advisory experience includes strategic planning, asset management, due diligence, feasibility, valuation, marketing and financing engagements for multinational companies, capital sources, developers, financial institutions and governments in major markets in the US, Caribbean and Latin America. His clients have included significant private equity funds, investment banks, bankruptcy estates, institutional capital sources and international lodging companies.
Mr. Bedsole received a degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982, and is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Portuguese. He is a frequent speaker at key industry conferences on lodging and real estate development in the US and Latin America. He has authored numerous articles for industry publications, including GlobeSt.com, National Hotel Executive, and Hotels magazine. He has also been a guest lecturer for the University of Texas at Arlington’s Certificate in Property Repositioning program and the Graduate Student Association Research Colloquium at the Conrad N. College of Hotel & Restaurant Management.

Prior to SparkPoint, he was a principal at F10 Hotels where he completed over a half a billion dollars of CMBS, bank debt financing and mezzanine debt financing for institutional level clients in both the hospitality and office asset classes.
Earlier in his career he co-founded Aventine Capital Partners where he financed and developed hotels and resort-residential real estate for client companies such as Fairmont Raffles , Viceroy Hotels, The Four Seasons and Rosewood Hotels and Resorts. He was also a founding shareholder and the architect of the initial capital stack as of Punch Bowl Social, a restaurant entertainment concept that grew to 20 units nationwide. He served as an in-house advisor to Aventine client company, Aimco (NYSE:AIV) focused on a strategic expansion of multifamily platform. He’s spent the last 15 years of this career focused exclusively on hospitality and real estate.

Prior to 2013, Mr. Ogden served as Vice President of Capital Markets, Securities & Debt for Apartment Investment and Management Company (AIMCO) a publicly traded REIT, for 15 years. While at AIMCO, he managed and closed over $12 billion of debt originations, restructures and Joint Ventures for the entire conventional and affordable owned, Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credit ("LIHTC") and tax exempt bond portfolio.

Kris founded and managed an in-house property management company, overseeing all operational aspects such as human resources, accounting, budgeting, and performance goals. He has managed and executed the redevelopment process including major deferred maintenance, interior unit upgrades, amenity improvements and additions, safety initiatives, and full clubhouse renovations.
Mr. Vercauteren has personally completed more than 100 transactions throughout 32 states. He has a successful track record of transforming multifamily properties through a hands-on approach to uncover additional income potential and expense controls.
His experience spans from private ownership at Evergreen Development and Slavin Residential to publicly traded AIMCO (AIV). Mr. Vercauteren is a graduate of The University of Redlands with a B.S. in Business.
