Depending on the situation, SparkPoint has a specifically allocated pool of capital that we will co-invest along side third party capital that we source. We will also co-invest along side purchasers of assets or loan pools. This communicates to all parties that we believe in the deal and are committed to the asset for the long term.
We intend to pursue a directly managed, blind pool of capital, for the formation of our SparkFund I beginning in Q3 of 2024. This will allow us to be even more nimble and quickly capitalize on investment opportunities. Speed and certainty of execution are key components of transacting in real estate and this is the next logical step given our backgrounds as principals. We are developing a merchant banking model that straddles the buy-side and sell-side of financial services.
